A Composite Sketch

A 19-year-old woman was raped by Paul in 1989. The police released this image looking for the serial rapist. The police received two tips naming Paul, one was a bank teller and one was a friend of Paul's. The police did not initially list Paul as a prime suspect and did not interview him for two months.

Leslie Mahaffy

Paul and Karla kidnapped Leslie and sexually assaulted her for 24 hours before Paul strangled her to death. Her parents had locked her out of the house for missing curfew the night of her kidnapping.

Kristen French

On March 29, 1992 Karla lured Kristen allowing Paul to kidnap her. They held for three days before Paul strangled her. The police interviewed Paul before deciding he was not a "good suspect".

Karla now lives in Quebec under the name Leanne Teale (the name she legally changed her last name to while married to Paul) with her second husband and children. It is believed that her parents had no contact with her after her prison sentence.

Paul is still imprisoned in Canada. He has been denied parole three times.
